If you are in a mood for fried chicken, and you don't want to go to your local fried chicken joint, I suggest that you drive to eat at Zehnder's located at Frankenmuth, Michigan.
For 19.99 per person you'll get an all you can eat fried chicken extravaganza. In addition to the fried chicken you'll also get;
- Zehnder's Creamy Cabbage Salad,
- Cottage Cheese,
- Seasonal Relish,
- Zehnder's Cheese Spread and Chicken Liver Paté with Garlic Toast,
- Assorted Breads with Country Butter, and Whole Fruit Preserves,
- Mashed Potatoes,
- Mother's Dressing,
- Buttered Egg Noodles,
- Garden Vegetables,
- Chicken Gravy,
- Vanilla Ice Cream or Orange Sherbet
If you want all white meat, you'll have to pay an extra $1.50 per person. There's also an option to add a second meat type to the family dinner style. This will however cost you an extra $21.95. Additional meat dinner includes: Wiener Schnitzel, Bavarian Sausages or Our Special Seasonal Selection.
Although expensive, it was really good. We were so full by the time our waiter asked us whether we wanted dessert. We end up not getting it because we were so full.
